Today I joined again Zig Ziglar’s Monday Morning Devotions. Every Monday morning a speaker will give an inspiring speech, making sure the legacy of Zig Ziglar lives on. If, by any chance, you have no idea who Zig Ziglar was, he was America’s most influential and beloved encourager and believer. You can find countless inspiring quotes from him online, countless videos, countless words that will inspire you to be a better person.
Today was special though. Today was about a quote from Zig Ziglar I haven’t heard so far “The youth is not 100% of today, but 100% of tomorrow”. Today the room was filled with young people, ready to learn more about the person called Zig Ziglar, his way of living, his way of believing, and his way of making this world a better place. Through Zig Ziglar these young people will learn what resources they need to help today’s youth to realize their true potential. “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help enough other people get what they want.”
I didn’t know about Zig Ziglar until a year ago. Being originally from Germany I had no idea who he was, but very quickly I also became one of his silent admirer. I’m sad I wasn’t able to meet him in person, but his true believe, his good heart and wisdom are still shining through to the year of 2017. If he can inspire the 100% of our tomorrow we have great things to look forward to.
As long as we pay attention to our children, give our all to raise them, teach them how to be a good person, we will turn this world into a better place. If we, in addition to that, also pay attention to the difficult ones, the ones that have lost their way, didn’t have the luxury of having parents that are able to love and care, we will not only turn the world into a better place, but us into a better society.
